The Village

1 event, 5 instructors, 6 back to back classes, 5 different traditional Manding and Akan rhythms, a family of world renowned percussionists, and a series of class events and panel discussions throughout the year. With over 35 years of combined experience, 5 The Hard Way is a collaboration of 5 professional dancers whose mission it is to maintain and perpetuate traditional African culture and to create a supportive, noncompetitive, positive, and nurturing environment for the expression of that culture. Our annual “village experience” has become a celebratory tradition for hundreds of patrons who join us on the dance floor every year!
